Sometimes things happen that leave us, at Infinity Dental Web in stitches and so we like to share…
We are sure most people can remember losing teeth as a child and carefully placing them under their pillow as they drifted off to sleep anticipating a visit from the Tooth Fairy who would leave a surprise under the pillow. Would it be enough for an ice cream cone or a pack of gum?
A little girl lost one of her big molars and put it in a zip lock bag, which was traditional in her family. She carefully placed the large tooth under her pillow and went to bed. The unfortunate part of this story is the Tooth Fairy was very tired. But before the Tooth Fairy called it a night she “prepped” her package and placed the money that was to be exchanged for the tooth on her dresser. Waiting for the young child to fall asleep so she could go in to complete her duty, the Tooth Fairy fell asleep herself.
Morning came and the little girl woke up anxiously and placed her hand under her pillow, only to find that the tooth in the zip lock bag was still there. Sadly, she got up to tell her mom and her older sister of this disappointment. The mother and sister looked at each other in horror! Both knowing what had happened and who was to blame. As the three of them migrated into the mother’s room the young child saw the money sitting where it had been left all night, on the dresser. She was very confused and asked “why did the tooth fairy leave my money on your dresser, Mom?” Followed by “and why didn’t she take my tooth?” The mother, with a look of shock on her face, said “I am not sure, maybe she couldn’t get under your pillow to get the tooth.” The Mother was very pleased with her quick answer and hoped that would pacify the child.
Then out of nowhere the older sister says. “Well, this just proves it; the tooth fairy is a blonde!”
