Pandemic week 3 – appointments remain depressed
Date: April 3, 2020Category: Author: David Hall
Last week, for the last three days we saw an uptick in appointment requests and were hoping that was the beginning of a trend. But unfortunately, it looks like that was just a blip in the data. For the past week, Friday March 27 through Thursday, April 2, appointment requests remain down by a pretty consistent amount, 64.3%.
We began keeping this data on Tuesday, March 17, the day after the American Dental Association issued its recommendation that dentists postpone any elective dental treatment. For Tuesday through Thursday of that week, appointment requests received by our clients took a nose dive and were down 65%. The following full week, they were down 66.7%. Now we are showing down 64.3%. And dental offices of our clients are generally mostly closed, pretty much seeing urgent cases only.
Thank you for keeping track and sharing the data!
