Job Title
Content Writer
What’s that like?
I create content for new websites, update and maintain existing client sites, and write regular blog posts to help our clients with SEO. I also track search engine rankings and monitor keywords for these sites.
What motivates you to work hard?
My daughters, ages three and seven. I love showing them how to set goals, work hard, learn from mistakes, and move forward. I encourage them to find their voice–those things they’re passionate about. I love seeing them come alive and grow in their own unique gifts.
What’s your favorite thing about your career?
Flexibility. I love how this position enables me to be a stay-at-home/work-at-home momma to my girls.
What was your first job?
My first job was a waitress at Lil Burro, a local Mexican restaurant in Bellevue, Nebraska. Yes, it was in a remodeled convenience store, but they boasted the best Chimichangas around. I have much empathy for restaurant servers, and learned a valuable life lesson–tip generously!
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
“We are the Champions,” by Queen. Brings me back to my glory days, winning back-to-back-to-back-to-back state volleyball tournaments.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
French toast. This was always a favorite when I was a kid and we often have breakfast for dinner at our house.
What was the last movie you went to? What did you think?
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2. My husband and I both read all the books, so we had to see it.
May the odds be ever in your favor.”
List two pet peeves.
The sound of Styrofoam pulled out of boxes and fingernails on a chalkboard. I know, some of you don’t know what a chalkboard is? Maybe the inventor of the smart board shared my sentiment.
If you had to describe yourself as an animal, which one would it be?
A giraffe. I’ve always, always been the tall girl.
Jamie sounds like an interesting and successful young lady, professional, and caring Mom. Balancing family and professional roles is never easy. Nice feature.
