How To Annoy People With Social Media

It’s official.
Social Media is annoyingly effective when done correctly. It’s also true that social media can often just be annoying.
At first glance you may be tempted to think that it’s easy to be annoying with social media. Upon closer inspection, however, it turns out that it’s a little more involved than you might expect. But if you’re ambitious enough then you may achieve the kind of annoyance success that others have only dreamed of. Like most things, there are a few simple steps involved.
The first step is to always assume that other people have nothing better to do than to read what you have to say. For some this may come naturally, but for others it may require a shift in the way you think about those around you. The effort you exert to achieve this change in your thinking will be invariably rewarded with increased annoyance and avoidance by your target group. The effect may even extend to your co-workers and closest friends and family members.
Secondly, you must carefully avoid writing about or sharing anything that may be even remotely interesting to those you are targeting with your social media campaign. For example, if you’re doing social media for dentists, a great topic to write about might be, “10 Ways To Eat A Hot Dog.” Just remember that this step requires forethought and planning. Preferably, the topic you choose should be completely unrelated to your target audience. If you’re not careful you may accidentally share something that actually is interesting to your followers. This should be avoided at all costs.
The third step to achieving your goal of customer annoyance and alienation is to overwhelm your audience with daily, or even hourly messages from multiple social media sources. This is the fastest and most effective way to achieve complete annoyance. If this step doesn’t keep customers away then nothing else will.
