Some Google users are aware that hiking trails are view-able via street views, but street views will also take you to some of the top wonders of the world. What a wonderful way for everyone to enjoy these sites. The images feel as close to being there as you can get. Google has created a project called World Wonders Project and they are using these recent underwater views as part of the project. “By using our street view technology, Google has a unique opportunity to make world heritage sites available to users across the globe. With advancements in our camera technologies we can now go off the beaten track to photograph some of the most significant places in the world so that anyone anywhere can explore them”, per the World Wonders Project.
Underwater street views is definitely an out of the box concept and one that will be enjoyed by many. Google has big plans to expand the locations and might hit one of your favorite underwater spots soon. For more information, visit Google’s Official Blog.
