A Lunch-Break Baby Shower
Date: July 1, 2013Category: Author: Danielle Azar
Last Wednesday, completely to my surprise, the Infinity Dental Web team threw me, Danielle, a surprise baby shower luncheon. I really had no idea that they were planning this but if I look back, I should have noticed the telltale signs of an office celebration.
Clue #1: Wednesday morning, Chris was late, which she never is unless she is off purchasing a greeting card of some sort.
Clue #2: Chris came in with a crock pot full of something homemade.
Clue #3: When I peeked into our fridge later that day, there was way more food in there than there usually is.
Clue #4: When I mentioned the presence of the abundance of food, nobody would say a word on the subject.
As you can see, they are a pretty tight-lipped bunch because those were the only clues that I had. Here are some pictures of our mini-celebration:
As custom with any celebration, the girls served and got everything ready while the boys hung out and waited for the coast to clear. Chris brought in a home-made vegan chili dish for Tyler, who doesn’t eat meat.
Actually, Dave set up tables too. That fruit salad in the picture was made by Kaycie and was about the only thing I could enjoy since I was feeling a little nauseous. It was delicious.
Jill made this corn salsa, which was a big hit.
The baby is due next month. I think there is betting going on behind my back regarding the exact date he will come. Thank you guys for such a great surprise!
