David graduated with high honors from Brigham Young University with a degree in chemistry. He then received his DDS degree from the University of Minnesota in 1979, where he was elected to membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the National Dental Honor Society) and received the AAOMS award as the outstanding oral surgery student for his graduating class. In 1979, he opened a general dentistry practice in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In 1990 he became one of the first 40 dentists in the world to be accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and later served as its first Public Relations Chair. David’s tooth bleaching research has been quoted in cosmetic dentistry textbooks and he has been listed in several Who’s Who publications. In 1995 he launched one of the first cosmetic dentistry websites in the world. An accomplished wordsmith, he was also the founder and editor of the AACD Academy Open Forum newsletter and then spent several years as managing editor for a book publishing company where a couple of the books he edited won acclaim in leading review journals. In 2009 he founded Infinity Dental Web.
